MATH121 course materials and textbook

You are required to purchase a paper copy of the course pack:

• Math 121: Elementary Statistics Version 3.1.
  • The course pack is not available electronically. It can be purchased for $20 from the college store.

The course pack closely follows the content of the following book:

• Introductory Statistics: Exploring the World Through Data, by Gould, Wong, and Ryan, 3rd edition (2019), Pearson. ISBN 978-0135188927.
  • This book is not required, but it may be useful to consult for additional background reading. A copy is on reserve in the library
• The course pack is primarily assembled and written by Professor Dick Forrester, drawing on some additional sources such as standard statistics textbooks. Other Dickinson faculty have made some contributions to the course pack. I’m grateful for their permission to use this course pack in the current version of the course.
